    Inspection campaigns by port State Control

    6th August 2021

    James Oliver (James O.) at West P&I reports. Paris and Tokyo MOU’s on Port State Control will conduct concentrated inspection campaigns during three months as from 1 September 2021. Inspectors will pay extra attention to issues regarding ship’s stability in general. A special checklist consisting of 8 items will be used to evaluate compliance with provisions of the relevant Conventions. Inspectors will also check whether master and deck officers on board are familiar with relevant procedures and equipment to assess vessel’s stability.
